Can you describe your job in a few words?
I am responsible of tracking and responding to developments in climate change policy at the EU and international level, contributing to stakeholder consultations and interacting with policymakers. I manage orbeo’s representation in carbon market associations such as IETA, Project Developers Forum and CMIA.
What is your background?
I hold a masters degree in International Economics. My interest in the carbon market evolved through my thesis on the EU ETS and an internship at RWE, after which I joined the International Emissions Trading Association in Geneva. Before joining orbeo, I was working as project manager in OneCarbon International.

Being able to represent a key player in the carbon market is a great opportunity. In this very dynamic business, it is crucial to stay on top of regulatory developments and to spot when new markets emerge. This is where I believe orbeo has its strength.

Can you describe your job in a few words?
My first task in a daily basis is to understand the global position of orbeo and thus to check the exact volumes of CERs and EUAs minute after minute. I also analyse the risks and set up actions and understand and assess prices. Finally, together with the team, I track the total amount of profit or loss achieved.
What is your background?
Before joining orbeo I worked for RBS Sempra in London as an energy trader. And prior to this, I was based in Brussels (Belgium) and worked for Suez-Electrabel as an electricity trader. I hold a postgraduate degree in Bank & Finance from University Paris I - La Sorbonne and a postgraduate certificate in energy economics from IFP (Institut Français du Pétrole).

Legal Adviser
Can you describe your job in a few words?
As a Legal Adviser at orbeo, I take care of all legal matters arising out of the Origination activities. I also intervene in other activities, such as CO2 Operations, Primary Resale and Marketing. Basically, I draft, review and negotiate contracts in these fields.
What is your background?
Previously to orbeo, I worked in the Legal Department of BioAlliance Pharma, a pharmaceutical company based in Paris. I graduated from University-Assas (Paris II) and hold a Master in International Law. I postgraduate in International Business Law and Management from ESSEC Business School.
Why orbeo?
I always wanted to work for a cause and I am much interested in climate change issues. Working for orbeo is for me the opportunity to work in a very interesting and challenging field, in perpetual motion and at the heart of current events.
Dorothy Denis
CO2 Operations
Can you describe your job in a few words?
I am the central administrative support to all projects running in CO2 Operations team globally, especially for contract management, DoE management, project portfolio management, internal communications with other teams, and some external communications to the CDM-EB, DNAs, PD Forum, IETA, etc.
What is your background?
I was an Architect originally from Taiwan and shifted to environmental management after the MSc studies in the UK. I spent some years for R&D, consultancy and 3rd party certification to business management systems while obtaining the PhD in Corporate Environmental & Social Accountability in Imperial College, London.

CO2 Operations, Project Manager
Can you describe your job in a few words?
As a CDM project manager in China, I am responsible for development and management of CDM projects in pipelines to secure the generation of carbon revenue.
What is your background?
After gaining a Diploma in Environmental Science (Wuhan University) and a Master in Environmental Science and Engineering (Tsinghua University), I started my career in CDM as a project manager in a German carbon buyer before joining orbeo as a CDM project manager.
